Hamilton’s Community Response to Hate

This Community Response report is a product of the Together Conversations, the Listen Learn Act anti-hate community summit, and the Creating a Community Response to Hate virtual speaker series.

It describes critical frameworks and practices necessary for addressing racism, discrimination, and the impacts of hate, which include:

  • decolonization;
  • anti-racism and anti-oppression;
  • calling in (versus calling out);
  • bridge-building; and
  • steps for moving from allyship to meaningful solidarities as “co-conspirators.”
